If you can\u2019t find Downloader on your Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Smart TV via a regular search, here are several alternative methods for finding and installing it.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Method 1: Appstore \u201cUtilities\u201d Category<\/h1>\n

Quick Instructions:<\/strong>\u00a0Open the \u201cAppstore\u201d on your Fire TV, select the \u201cAll Categories\u201d tab, select the \u201cUtilities\u201d category, and find Downloader in the list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  1. Open the \u201cAppstore\u201d app on your Fire TV. You can find it in your list of apps or by saying \u201cOpen Appstore\u201d or \u201cGo to Appstore\u201d into your remote microphone.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Method 2: \u201cCustomers Also Bought\u201d Section<\/h1>\n

          If you view an app related to Downloader, you can scroll down to the \u201cCustomers Also Bought\u201d list and likely find my Downloader app listed there. Other apps you can try checking include Bookmarker<\/em>,\u00a0Developer Options<\/em>,\u00a0VLC<\/em>, and\u00a0Emby<\/em>.<\/p>\n

          Onn, Google TVs, and 4K Android Boxes \u2013 Disable Play Protect<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          Onn, Google TVs, and 4K boxes, we must disable Play Protect within Settings. Play Protect often blocks applications that users install outside of the Google Play Store.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          1.\u00a0From the home screen of your device or via the button on your remote, launch Settings and select the Gear icon.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"click<\/picture>\n

          2.\u00a0Select Apps.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          3.\u00a0Click Security.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"click<\/picture>\n

          4.\u00a0Turn the toggles off for both Scan apps with Play Protect & Improve harmful app detection. This will allow us to install apps outside of the Google Play Store.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"disable<\/picture>\n

          5. After disabling Play Protect, we can continue to install the Downloader App, which allows for the sideloading of apps and APKs on the Onn. Google TVs, and 4K Android Boxes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          To sideload apps, we will use the popular Downloader App\u00a0that is available in the Google Play Store.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          1.\u00a0From the home screen, select Apps.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"select<\/picture>\n

          2.\u00a0Select the search bar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"click<\/picture>\n

          3.\u00a0Type Downloader and click the Search icon.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"type<\/picture>\n

          5.\u00a0Click Install.<\/strong><\/p>\n\"click<\/picture>\n
