IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS PREVIOUSLY THEN SKIP TO NOW LET’S GET STARTED
LETS BEGIN WITH PRIVACY SETTINGS
- Hover over the Settings Tab and go to Preferences.
- In Privacy Settings turn off Device Usage Data, Collect App Usage Data, and Interest-Based Ads.
- Click the back button on your remote, go into Data Monitoring, and shut that off, then click the back button again.
- Optionally, you can also go into Featured Content and disable Allow Video Autoplay and Allow Audio Autoplay, which will prevent videos and audio from starting to play automatically on your home screen.
Okay, now that we’ve blocked the prying eyes of Amazon, it’s time to move on to the good stuff!
HOW TO ENABLE DEVELOPER OPTIONS ON ALL FIRE DEVICES
- Please hover over the Firestick Settings icon and click My Fire TV.
- Click About (only if you DO NOT see Developer Options on this screen)
- Hover over the name of your unit which mine said Fire TV Stick but you can have a cube or max and click the OK button on your remote 7 times to become a developer.
- After clicking the OK button 7 times you will see a message saying “No need, you are already a developer.”
- Click the back button on your remote and you will notice Developer Options is now showing within My Fire TV.

ENABLE SIDELOADING APPS ON AMAZON FIRE TV DEVICES
- Go into MyFire TV and click Developer options.
- Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources
- Go back to the home screen.
- Hover over the search icon and type in Downloader, then click on it and you should see the the Downloader App by AFTVnews.
- Click on the Downloader App then click on Download and it will be installed.
- Click the open button and you will be asked to “Allow Downloader to access photos, media, and files on your device” You must allow this otherwise the process will not work.
- You will now see the Quick Start Guide, click OK, and you are ready to download and install anything you want.
NOW LET’S GET STARTED
- Open Firestick/FireTV
- Select Settings
- In settings select My Fire TV
- Select About
- Click The Model of the Firestick or cube that displays here. At the time mine was the lite version. Click select on the remote 7 times and you will see a pop-up on the bottom saying you will be enabling developer options. If you click on the back button you would see the option now.
- Select Developer Options
- Select Install Unknown Apps
- Make sure you have the ON enabled for the following apps
- Downloader,
- Elite Media Hub
- You would have to come back later and do this process for Elite Media Hub
- Now go back to your Home Screen and select the Find Icon
- Now Click Search
- Now use the keyboard and start typing Downloader. Once you see Downloader underneath select it
- On the next screen select the Downloader icon
- Select Download
- Once downloaded select Open
- Select ALLOW
- Click OK
- Click on the Address Bar
- Type in the digits in the box only for the Elite Media Hub App (NOTE – If you can’t download this app its because you have an app called Apktime installed. You need to delete that app first)

- Click GO
- Wait for the file to download to finish
- Select Install
- You can now select Open to go ahead and choose the category of the service. You can download all the apps within the service you bought and delete the apps you don’t like.
